If this is your model: Batteries for MacBook Pro 13-inch (2009-2012) Non Retina. I would not recommend any $40 battery.

I ended up booking with an Apple authorized supplier after confim=rming they would do the work and getting a price. I tried the BestBuy here in town but they were not helpful. Quoted me $800-$1200 saying they would have to replace the motherboard
